Three Service Pillars
The Cohort Assistant is a hybrid Teaching Assistant + Resident Advisor + Operations Lead for a high-intensity professional fellowship. You travel with the cohort, participate in all academic and field components, and share responsibility for keeping the cohort organized and on deliverable.
Student Management & Cohort Support
- Daily point of contact for a small group of fellows
- Support headcounts, check-ins & group movement across cities
- Maintain a respectful, professional team culture
- Escalate health, safety, and conflict issues to staff
Academic & Fellowship Task Support
- Support fellows on Daily Reflections, Weekly Calibrations & Final Presentations
- Facilitate small-group discussions and peer feedback
- Assist with deliverable formats, deadlines & quality standards
- Model strong execution — fellows learn from how you work
Daily Operations
- Support site visit arrival logistics, materials, badges & uniforms
- Capture program documentation (photos, videos, attendance)
- Support pre-visit briefings and post-visit debriefs
Full Fellowship Experience + Leadership Credential

Nonprofit Subsidized Leadership Residency
This role follows a Nonprofit Service-Grant model. Designed for mature students who wish to contribute their leadership skills to our 501(c)(3) educational mission.

Who Should Apply
This role is for mature upper-level college students and graduate students who want full SEE China program participation while building real leadership and operations experience.
Required
- College student (2025–26 academic year) or recent graduate
- Demonstrated maturity, accountability & sound judgment
- Strong organizational habits and reliable follow-through
- Comfortable switching contexts under operational pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (grant requirement)
- Valid passport with 7+ months remaining (expires after Jan 2027)
- Confirmed availability for the full 30-day circuit + June remote training
Preferred
- Interest in education or nonprofit work
- Background in program or project management
- Interest in China / Asia, AI, or international affairs
- Prior RA, TA, or peer leadership experience
