The Chinese American Citizens Alliance honors many of the same virtues and values of the NYRA, and in turn also works to enhance New York for future generations to come. It is an organization to empower Chinese Americans, as citizens of the United States of America, by advocating for Chinese-American interests based on the principles of fairness and equal opportunity. They are guided by the ideals of patriotism, civility, dedication to family and culture, and the highest ethical and moral standards.
Place NYC advocates for a high quality, challenging education for every student in all NYC DOE Public Schools by increasing the academic rigor of all school curricula. The parent leaders of PLACE NYC envision integrated classrooms of life-long learners where all students from across the entire learning ability spectrum are fully supported. Accelerated curricula at all grade levels improve individual student outcomes, advance integration efforts and strengthen school quality.
QPU is a coalition of parents, families, and other community stakeholders committed to pursuing excellence in our public school system for all by improving schools within each local community.
The purpose and mission of the Hotel Chinese Association is to help all hotel Chinese employees successfully obtain an equal treatment working environment, thereby providing a communication and vocational training platform. We fully coordinate and cooperate with hotel management authorities and hotel unions to support and complete the association. As for the plan for the members, we will use the voice of the association to continuously develop the members and unite the strength of all members to enhance the influence of our hotel Chinese association in the mainstream society and make contributions to the society.
BRACE (Asian American Community Empowerment) was founded by seven Chinese American organizations. Its mission is to promote the unity of the community, to advance the civic voice of the Asian diaspora, and to fight for equal rights and treatment for Asian Americans.
The CAACR is dedicated towards sparking and maintaining movements and protests for the better of NYC. Like the NYRA, it was behind the uprising and activism against cancelling the SHSAT, which would’ve harmed many.
Kyuramen is a ramen chain founded by entrepreneur Gary Lin. Having studied the art of ramen-making innately in Japan, Lin absorbed the essence of Japanese ramen in order to master the art and provide high-quality yet affordable ramen to brand new audiences. As their website states, the mission of KyuRamen is to “let our general working class and student population enjoy the stress-free Ramen in a stress-free environment.”

Bio: Wai Wah Chin, an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute, is the founding president of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance of Greater New York, an all-volunteer organization advocating for equal rights for New Yorkers, especially in education. A graduate of Yale, Princeton, and Columbia, Chin is a relentless advocate for the Chinese American Community, with a professional background in private equity.
Bio: Donghui Zang is a Co-Founder of New York City Residents Alliance (NYRA) and Wall Street Financial Analyst. He graduated from Rice University and previously worked at JP Morgan and Citigroup.
Bio: Robert F. Holden is an American professor, graphic designer, and the New York City Council member for the 30th district, representing several neighborhoods in the borough of Queens.
Bio: Linda Lee is an American politician from New York City who is the city councilmember of New York City’s 23rd City Council district, representing the Democratic Party. Lee grew up in Oakland Gardens, Queens. She received her B.A. from Barnard College and her Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University.
Bio: Sandra Ung is a Cambodian-born American attorney and politician from New York City. She is a member of the New York City Council for the 20th district, which is based in Flushing, Queens.
Bio: Lester Chang is an American politician who is a member of New York’s 49th State Assembly district; he defeated longtime Democratic incumbent Peter J. Abbate Jr. in the 2022 New York State Assembly election.
Bio: John Liu is an American politician in New York City. A member of the Democratic Party, he is a member of the New York State Senate for the 16th district in northeast Queens.
Bio: Grace Meng is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York’s 6th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, her district is in the New York City borough of Queens. Meng represented the 22nd district in the New York State Assembly from 2009 until 2012. She is the first Asian American elected to Congress from New York.
